I am a Parent/Carer

If you are a parent or carer of a young person needing counselling, please refer to the 'I am a Young Person' page for more information or use the Request Counselling button to refer them.

We know parenting isn’t always easy, therefore Youthline provides a BACP Accredited low-cost one to one counselling service to parents or carers of young people for a wide range of issues. During counselling you will be able to discuss these issues with your counsellor in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment and how they are affecting you. We ask that you commit to attending weekly sessions, at the same time and day each week and that you let us know if you are unable to attend.

Therapy usually lasts for 6 to 24 sessions. The service is primarily staffed by trainee and volunteer therapists, who are all registered with professional bodies, supported by qualified professional supervisors and have been trained in safeguarding. Sessions run from 3pm to 9pm at 7 Portman Close in Bracknell on Mondays to Thursdays, from 4pm to 7pm on Fridays and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.

About Your Sessions

Why Youthline offer low-cost counselling to the over 26’s?
