Volunteering

If you wish to volunteer at Youthline please contact us on 01344 311200 or e-mail ask@youthlineuk.com

For counsellor placement students who wish to volunteer you will need to provide the Counselling Coordinator with the following:

  1. Application for placement letter addressed to the Co-ordinator.
  2. An hour of recorded session time with a client (this may comprise of two 25 minute pieces or one full 50 minute session with an actual client or with a peer).
  3. A verbatim transcript and commentary i.e. own process of thoughts, feelings, learning areas, regarding your practice with the taped client.
  4. A CV
  5. A reference from your trainer/college stating that you are on recognised training.

All volunteers will be required to complete an application form, receive an enhanced CRB check, sign a contract and adhere to Youthline’s policies and procedures and attend Child Protection Training that is provided by Youthline. 

Youthline is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects its entire staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

For volunteer counsellors, Youthline offer supervision and continuous professional development training.
